I know it has been a long time since the last update, but things move pretty slowly here at the end. We are 10 days away from closing and have our Punch Walk with the builder tomorrow morning. We get to talk to them about all the final details and issues that need to be addressed before closing.
I do have a few pictures to share of some new stuff so…
Here’s our air conditioner. They finally had a chance to set the initial grade on the yard which was required before setting the air conditioner in place. I don’t know anything about that brand – I hope it does the trick!
Here’s one of the hose bibs. We have 3 – 1 on each side and 1 on the back of the house. Nothing fancy, but they should do the trick.
And here are the stairs off the sliding door. Building a real deck off the sliding door will be one of the early projects – at least I hope. These will serve to get us to ground level, but that’s about it!
We’re getting really close. The next update will likely come after the punch list is complete and the appliances are installed. We’re also waiting for the interior of the garage to get paint and finishing touches.

I don’t think you’re giving your deck enough credit. I think you could bolt a BBQ across the the outside and that would leave you enough room to squeeze underneath it when you need to get to the backyard. Sure, you’d have to dodge molten dripping grease when grilling, but it’d be worth it:) Let me know when you’re ready to build the deck and I’ll be happy to help!
It won’t be long before I’m putting on a proper deck. I just have to decide if I want to do that before or after finishing parts of the basement!
